Born in 1933 in Kyiv (Ukraine).

In 1960 he graduated from the Kiev Art Institute.

In 1968 he graduated from the creative postgraduate course of the USSR Academy of Arts.

Since 1957 he has taken part in numerous exhibitions of Ukrainian art in Kyiv, Moscow, many cities of Ukraine, and abroad.

Since 1962 - a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.

Since 1979, Mikhail Turovsky has lived and worked in New York (USA).

People's Artist of Ukraine (2008).

Full member of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine (2009).

The works are stored in the permanent collections of museums: the National Art Museum of Ukraine, the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, the Yad Vashem Memorial Art Museum in Jerusalem, the art galleries of Cornell University in New York, the University of Notre Dame in Indiana and many others.

The painting is represented in prominent private collections.
