IN THE GRASS
Triptych Art Gallery opens the 21st exhibition season with exquisite Oleksiy Lytvynenko.
In Oleksiy Lytvynenko's new exhibition, there seems to be no metaphorical pause between the title - "In the Grass" and the presented works. But the magic of painting makes it impossible for the "first sight" to slide across the surface of banality. Changing the optics, which allows you to see and feel the ocean in a drop of water - a characteristic feature of Alexei's painting. Therefore, even then, "grass" is no longer just a definition of many plant elements. Written in capital letters (and it's not just a play on words), it ceases to be an inseparable set, an array. Thanks to the artist, the images look like group portraits, due to the thoroughness of the study and the individual nature of each leaf. Impressions of sophistication and elegance only reinforce this feeling. Removing the usual - "top-down" direction of view, the author offers a silent dialogue not only between the viewer and the picture, but, by and large, between the dimensions of plants and people. Such communication looks not only possible, but also quite natural. The embarrassingly unexpected combination of tenderness with monumentality is just one of the visual gifts that await the viewer during communication.
Only technical perfection is clearly not enough here, it is a synthesis of professionalism with a specific personal worldview. Obviously, the concept of "society" for the artist is much broader than just the human community. As a result, the "Grass" in the halls of the gallery is larger than the floristic studios, and if the inner world can be compared to the inner space, it shines a new, previously unknown galaxy...
